Celebrating the life of Charles Dickens at his home and inspiration for many years, you can walk back in time along the High Street and feel the atmosphere of this extraordinary celebration.

Take delight in the stalls and street entertainment, where many locals join in by dressing up in Victorian costume as they parade the streets of Rochester and the Castle gardens. Guaranteed snowfall will set the Christmas scene. We also visit Canterbury, where the oldest Cathedral in England dominates its skyline. Soak up the citys rich history at St Augustines Abbey and St Martins Church, or shop amongst the winding lanes. This fine city enjoys some of the most elegant architecture in the country.

Day 1
Canterbury
Travel to Canterbury, making a comfort stop en-route, and arrive around late morning. Canterbury's stunning Cathedral, the oldest in England, dominates its skyline. Explore the city's history, heritage and culture - shop amongst the winding lanes or relax on a boat trip along the River Stour. There's an abundance of things to do in this fine city. Later, we check in to the hotel.
Day 2
Dickensian Festival, Rochester
After breakfast, we travel to Rochester. Spend your free time enjoying the festivities of the Dickensian Festival. Take delight in the Victorian shops and craft stalls, see a short pantomime in the auditorium and enjoy the funfair in the castle gardens. Listen to readings of Dickens' novels or visit the Charles Dickens Centre. We depart mid-afternoon and arrive back to your local area mid-evening.
