The Regency town of Sidmouth offers a long, wide, level promenade with plentiful seating to entice the visitor to relax, take in the sea air and watch the world go by. At the western end, high above the bay on red sandstone cliffs, the Connaught Gardens (admission free) display a magnificent variety of trees, shrubs and beds. Sidmouth approaches perfection as it has everything you could possibly want - beaches, stunning coastal walks, gardens, a theatre and cinema, stylish eating places, and some of the best shops in East Devon selling desirable items such as unusual gifts, designer clothing, and lifestyle goods making your short break interesting and memorable.

Tour itinerary

 

Day 1 Departure:

Begin the journey south. Hotel check-in. Our base for the next 3 nights.

 

Day 2 Sidmouth

A day at leisure in Sidmouth. The choice is yours. Take advantage of the hotel’s leisure facilities including indoor heated swimming pool, spa, sauna, putting green, snooker and games room. A stone’s throw away, discover the beautiful Connaught Gardens with coffee shop (with cakes not to be missed), or take a gentle stroll along the promenade to enjoy the variety of shops on offer whilst absorbing the stunning sea views.

 

Day 3 Exmouth & Budleigh Salterton

Exmouth and Budleigh Salterton. Exmouth is an unspoilt and cheery seaside town, popular since the Regency period. This classic resort promises a generous sandy beach, a level esplanade to stroll along and beautiful parks and gardens. Budleigh Salterton is a tranquil coastal town, positioned in a bay. A classic pebble beach combine with friendly shops and galleries.

 

Day 4

Depart hotel, begin journey home, making a comfort stop en-route.

Located at the west end of the Esplanade, just a short walk to the sea front, 400 yards to the town centre. Dress code for dinner: jacket or tie (no jeans or trainers).

 

Bedrooms: En-suite (mostly shower over bath) with digital TV free view and radio channels, tea/coffee making facilities, hair dryer, telephone, complimentary toiletries, water.

Facilities: Bar and lounge. Leisure facilities, free Wi-Fi. Night porter.

Mobility Information: Lift, serves all 4 floors. Two steps at entrance. One step down into sun lounge. One step from lift to indoor pool area. A ramp is available for wheelchairs. No ground floor bedrooms.
