Tour Itinerary

 

Day 1 Departure:

Travel to the market town of Settle, with free time for lunch. Catch the 1417 hrs train (time to be confirmed) to Carlisle. (Please note; this is not a steam train). The rail line is on a constant gradient all the way from Settle junction to Ais Gill Summit. Arrive at Carlisle Station 1601 hrs. Our driver will meet, collect and transfer you to the hotel. Dinner is included.

 

Day 2

Depart after breakfast. Travel to the Lake District via Ullswater and the awesome Kirkstone Pass, which climbs to 1500 feet. Free time for a lunch stop at Bowness on Windermere. Arrive home mid- evening.

This 17th century coaching inn is located in the picturesque village of Wetheral, on the banks of the River Eden and 5 miles from Carlisle.

 

Bedrooms: En-suite with TV, tea/coffee making facilities, telephone, hairdryer, radio alarm clock and iron and ironing board.

Facilities: Bar, lounge, swimming pool, whirlpool, gym, steam room, solarium and squash courts (additional charges).
