plenty of attractions to keep you occupied. And it’s not just the mild climate which draws thousands to the seaside resort year after year – there’s a fantastic seafront which comprises of a promenade, Paignton Pier, and lots of great shops, plus delightful gardens and a harbour scene where pretty coloured yachts are dotted across the landscape. Add to this the long stretches of sandy beaches too, and it makes for an ideal leisurely break.

Plymouth, Britain’s naval city, known for its colourful maritime history. Among the cobbled streets, there’s an endless list of places to explore, from its many museums and art galleries, to Sutton Harbour – home to some of its most historic buildings. Nearby is the Barbican, a real gem with a maze of vibrant streets brimming with shops and busy inns.
Mystery Day or spend free time in Paignton.
Day 5 Depart after breakfast, making a comfort stop en-route. Arrive home: late-afternoon.

The Palace Hotel, Paignton
The Palace Hotel has retained the elegant splendour of its original classical décor and façade. Situated in a prime seafront location, in two acres of grounds, approximately 100 metres from Paignton Sands and the town centre. Originally the home of Issac Singer, inventor of the Singer Sewing Machine.
