Explore The Borders, one of the most beautiful and romantic areas of Scotland, stretching from the rolling hills and moorland in the west, through gentler valleys to the high agricultural plains of the east. Visit Edinburgh, Scotland’s proud capital offers a blend of old town charm with new town elegance. The neo-classical grandeur, the soaring columns and symmetrical facades, combined with the historic streets of the Royal Mile and towering castle, are all part of the setting for a year-round cultural feast. The Falkirk Wheel is the world’s first and only rotating boat lift, opened in 2002, it reconnects the Forth & Clyde Canal and the Union Canal for the first time since the 1930’s.
Day 1 Departure: 0800 – 0900 hrs. Travel to Scotland making a lunch stop en-route at Gretna (extra cost). Hotel check-in. Dinner is included for the next 3 nights.
Day 2 Visit Edinburgh, a stylish and cultural city with a historic core and prized architectural treasures such as a 1,000 year old castle. But the capital city has more than history – it is well-served with shops and restaurants, which are clustered on Princes Street and the Royal Mile, as well as a wide choice of attractions which range from Edinburgh Zoo to the Royal Botanic Garden.
Day 3 Photo stop at the new Queensferry Crossing. This stunning unique bridge forms a major upgrade to the transport corridor in the east of Scotland. Free time for lunch in Dunfermline – Scotland’s ancient capital, rich in history and heritage. Later visit Falkirk Wheel – The Forth & Clyde Canal and Union Canal were linked by a staircase of 11 locks which took almost a day to transit, these were dismantled in 1933. The ambitious build of the rotating boat lift began in 1998. It stands 35 metres tall and the 600 tonne gondolas hold 500,000 litres of water.
Day 4 Depart after breakfast, making comfort stops enroute. Arrive home: mid evening.

New Lanark Mill Hotel, Lanark
Located one mile south of Lanark with the River Clyde’s waterfalls close by and around one hours’ drive from Edinburgh. Originally an 18th century cotton mill, beautifully restored, with original features such as Georgian windows and barrel-vaulted ceilings.
