Sidmouth is a seaside haven! Enjoy this classic resort and be captivated by glorious views of red sandstone cliffs that contrast with pastures of the Sid Valley and the shimmering blue sea. Take in the gorgeous parks, superb Connaught gardens (free entry) and pleasant leisurely walks on the promenade, which run alongside the pebble beach. The Regency influence can be seen in the style of buildings along the Esplanade and around the town. There’s plenty of attractive shops for browsing around, and lots of cafés, bars and pubs.

Day at leisure in Sidmouth. Maybe visit the Donkey Sanctuary, giving lifelong care to over 6000 donkeys and mules around the UK and Europe. This working farm near Sidmouth is home to hundreds of donkeys, mules and hinnies who have been rescued from mistreatment or relinquished into the charity’s care (free entry).
Teignmouth’s two beautiful sandy beaches, a classic Victorian Pier and elegant buildings are the perfect ingredients of a quintessential seaside town.
Dawlish, one of Devon’s finest seaside towns. The Regency resort enjoys golden sands and a large green, ‘The Lawn’, is home to the Dawlish black swans.
Exmouth, an unspoilt and cheery seaside town, popular since the Regency period. This classic resort promises a generous sandy beach, a level esplanade and beautiful parks and gardens.
Day 5 Breakfast. Departure, making comfort stops en-route. Arrive home: early evening.
