Cliveden – Thursday 28th September
With magnificent views across the River Thames, Cliveden was the glittering hub of society in the early part of the 20th century, and later infamously associated with the 'Profumo Affair'. The spectacular estate, with a celebrated parterre, has a series of formal gardens, an outstanding collection of sculpture and statues, as well as extensive woodland and riverside walks. The house is now let as a hotel, and will accommodate us for a guided tour today.

Erddig – Tuesday 10th October
Celebrate the restoration of the grand estate and 40 years since it was opened under the care of the National Trust. It is one of the most fascinating houses in Britain, due largely to the close relationship between the family and the servants. The furnished 18th century large country house is complemented by an extensive range of outbuildings, offering a unique insight into servants’ life in the 18th and 19th century. The large walled garden has been restored to its 18th-century formal design and has a Victorian parterre and yew walk.

Fountains Abbey – Saturday 14th October
This World Heritage Site, set in 800 acres of beautiful countryside, offers an unparalleled opportunity to appreciate the range of England's heritage. Discover the magnificent 12th century abbey ruins and the only surviving Cistercian corn mill. Amble through the beautiful landscaped Georgian water garden of Studley Royal, complete with Neo-classical statues, follies and breathtaking views. Delight in the richly decorated Victorian St Mary's church and take time out to relax in the Reading Room in Elizabethan Fountains Hall.
